Terms and Conditions

The Mauritius Commercial Bank Limited (hereinafter referred to as "MCB"), whose registered office is at 9-15, Sir William Newton Street, Port Louis, Republic of Mauritius, proposes this promotional offer, (hereinafter referred to as the "Offer") to which the following Terms and Conditions shall apply.
The Offer is valid from 21 April to 30 June 2025 [both dates inclusive], (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotional Period").
The Offer is valid to any eligible MCB Business Banking customer (hereinafter referred to as the "Customer") of Mauritian nationality, residing in Mauritius.
The Offer is open to the MCB Visa Business debit cardholders of our Customers.
A lucky draw will be held on 22 July 2025 to designate 3 winners.
The first winner will receive an HP EliteBook 840 G11 (hereinafter referred to as "Star Prize"). The second winner will receive a Samsung S25 Ultra (hereinafter referred to as "Second Prize").The third winner will receive a Samsung Tab S9 Ultra (hereinafter referred to as "Third Prize").

The “Star Prize”, the “Second Prize” and the “Third Prize” are hereinafter referred to as the “Prizes”.
One (1) entry will be counted in favour of the Customer for each payment its respective cardholder makes, in Mauritius and/or abroad via a point-of-sale (POS) terminal—whether by inserting the card, using contactless payment, or its digital version—or online by the means mentioned in clause 4 during the Promotional Period only (hereinafter referred to as an “Eligible Payment”).

Five (5) entries will be granted for the first Eligible Payment made with a card that was never used prior to the promotional period, including newly issued cards. Subsequent Eligible Payment(s) on the same card will earn entries to the Customer as per the standard rule, that is, one (1) entry per transaction.

Participation in the lucky draw is subject to the criteria outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

The number of transactions made during the Promotional Period will be counted to determine the number of entries obtained by the said Customer. The transactions will be counted at the respective cardholder level and cumulated at the company i.e. the Customer, level.
The recording of transactions carried out in Mauritius, abroad and/or online, will be done according to the authorisation date of each transaction, that is, the date on which the transaction took place.
MCB employees, persons under 18 years of age, politically exposed persons, Customers with late payments on credit cards or who are subject to recovery procedures with our litigation department as well as Customers whose card account(s) is/are in the "collection” process, are not eligible for the Offer.
Transactions done at automated teller machines (ATMs), at bank counters (any bank), at financial institutions, in casinos, all forms of betting, as well as payments or transactions in cryptocurrency, will not be considered for this Offer.
The current account linked to a Visa Business Debit card must be in good standing and managed appropriately and satisfactorily, at the discretion of MCB. In the event, that the account is voluntarily or involuntarily closed, terminated or blocked, for any reason, before, during or after the Promotional Period, MCB reserves the right not to offer the Prize.
Each Customer will be able to consult its entry number(s) obtained, by calling 202 6060 or by visiting an MCB branch, as from 18 July 2025.
The draw to determine the winners will take place at the Mauritius Turf Club under the supervision of the Gambling Regulatory Authority (hereinafter referred to as "GRA"). MCB will subsequently contact the winners by telephone and if unreached, a letter will be sent to the Customer’s postal address available in MCB’s database. In case MCB is unable to contact a winner, the lottery number of the said winning Customer will be published in the press.
A Customer cannot win more than one Prize, regardless of the number of entries it has obtained.
The publication of the winning Customer’s name and photo of its representative(s) will only be done subject to the said Customer giving its prior written consent for this purpose. In the event, that MCB has not obtained the consent of the Customer, its lottery number will therefore be published in the press.
The 3 winners will receive their Prizes in August 2025. The Prizes cannot be sold, refunded or exchanged.
Each winner will have a period of six months from the date of the draw to claim its prize, in accordance with the GRA regulations currently in force in Mauritius.
MCB cannot be held responsible in the event that a Customer cannot avail of the Prize for a specific reason, or in the case of a dispute relating to the application of these Terms and Conditions.
MCB shall not be held responsible or liable to the winners for any defects, malfunctions, or issues related to the quality, performance, or functionality of the Prizes. MCB does not guarantee the colour, model variations, or specific features of the Prizes, as these are subject to availability from the MCB registered supplier(s).
MCB shall, under no circumstances, be held liable or accountable for any damage, loss, claim, dispute, or inability of the winner to benefit from the Prize, nor for any decisions, actions, or omissions of the winner in relation to the Prize, including but not limited to its use, transfer, assignment, or any third-party arrangements made by the winner(s). MCB bears no responsibility for any legal, financial, or commercial consequences arising from the winner’s handling of the Prize and shall not be implicated in any litigation, claim, or liability resulting therefrom.
MCB may, at its sole discretion, exclude any Customer from this Offer, if there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these present Terms and Conditions, without having to provide any justifications.
MCB reserves the right to unilaterally withdraw or cancel the Offer, and to review or modify the present Terms and Conditions of the Offer, subject to the consent of the GRA, at any point in time for whatever reason without incurring any liability, and without giving prior notice to the Customers.
In the event of any disagreement with the above Terms and Conditions, MCB's decision will be final and without appeal.
