MCB continues to innovate on its mobile application Juice to offer its approximately 650,000 users a better experience, enhanced security, and new features. This is also an opportunity to massively launch Juice Tap for all customers holding a MasterCard Debit, allowing them to make purchases by simply tapping their mobile on payment terminals.
The design and experience have been simplified and tailored to customer preferences, from the login screen to the home or operation selection screens. There are shortcuts to access the most used features, more transparent and accessible information, and spaces to accommodate future important or personalized communications to meet user needs.
The Pay & Transfer section, which provides access to payment options with MCB Juice, has been renamed to Transact. In a continuous effort to enhance security, MCB Juice now incorporates facial recognition as a payment validation process.
The Pay card option has been migrated to Transfer money to provide more clarity to its users. In addition, MCB Juice no longer defaults to a pre-selected account for customers holding multiple accounts. Instead, users can freely choose which account to use for each transaction. The new version also displays credit card balances within the Accounts section for easier financial management.
MCB Juice is also developing Mauritius’ payment ecosystem with the Juice Tap feature, which is now extended to Mastercard cardholders. Juice Tap uses Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to enable simple, secure, and fast everyday payments—no more coins or physical cards required. A smartphone is all that is needed to make a purchase locally and abroad.
As a highly secure solution, Juice Tap is accepted by all merchants equipped with contactless terminals.
