Issues with e-commerce services

We currently face issues with our e-commerce services, namely online card transactions requiring authentication. This situation may also impact some bill payment services. Our team is actively working to resolve this issue.

Termination of the Special Cheque Clearance service

Switch to digital and help us reduce paper usage !

Dear customer,

Please note that, effective as from 01st July 2025, we shall discontinue the Special Cheque Clearance service (“Special presentation of cheques”).

In that respect, and effective as from the specified date thereof, the bank will no longer process any request for special clearance of non-MCB cheques nor will the bank attend to any request from the other local banks for special clearance of MCB cheques.  MCB cheques deposited in MCB accounts and presented for special clearance will also be discontinued.

We strongly encourage our customers to take advantage of our digital payment options which are available at a lower price or free of charge on our Internet Banking services (IB and IB Pro) and mobile banking applications, MCB Juice and MCB JuicePro.

New pricing as from 1st July 2025

Dear customer,

Please note that, effective as from 01st July 2025, new pricing will apply to our cheque services, savings and current accounts and request for paper-based bank documents.

We strongly encourage our customers to take advantage of our digital payment options and opt for bank documents in electronic version which are available at a lower price or free of charge on our Internet Banking services (IB and IB Pro) and mobile banking applications, MCB Juice and MCB JuicePro.

Self-registration option for IB no longer available on our website

Dear customer,

Please note that, effective 24th April, the self-registration option for Internet Banking (IB) on our website will no longer be available. Moving forward, clients wishing to self-register for IB will need to visit a branch in person. This change is being implemented to minimize risk and ensure the security of our customers.

Please note that other online options, such as the "Forgot Credentials" feature, will remain available.

Introduction of new Rs 1,000 Polymer Bank Notes

Dear Customer, 

Kindly note that, since 4 December and as announced by the Bank of Mauritius, new Rs 1,000 Polymer bank notes are available for use. The new Rs 1,000 notes will cohabit with the old ones and new Rs 100 and Rs 200 notes will also be introduced next year.

For the time being, customers are advised not to deposit new Rs 1,000 notes into our ATMs.

Please be advised that the E-Banking Tariff Guide is now available on our website and details the current fees and charges applicable to online transactions initiated and conducted through our digital platforms namely, our internet banking services and mobile banking apps.
